We developed a personalized app for a healthcare company that creates percussive massage devices, utilizing user fitness data to generate custom massage routines and providing an innovative heads-up display for guided therapy.
Challenge
Our client is a company based in California that invents, manufactures, and sells proprietary percussive massage devices. Their existing consumer app was lacking a way to help users operate the device in a way that was personalized to their physical needs.
Approach
Experient dug into user needs to understand the emotional and physical experience of users. We then designed a process flow that assumed an input of iOS-harvested personal fitness data, built wireframes to define the interface elements, and built multiple versions of the graphic design.
We ultimately designed a new app that was able to sense via various data inputs what exercises the user had recently completed, compiled a custom massage routine on the fly, and walked the user through the routine via a heads-up display.
