Experient enhanced a client’s mobile ordering system, significantly increasing uptime and enabling greater digital sales.

Challenge

Our client’s vendor’s data center was regularly experiencing availability issues coupled with local restaurant internet which was preventing digital mobile order fulfilment, which was negatively impacting customers, reducing sales, and increasing support requests.

Approach

We developed and provided a backup means for keeping mobile ordering up in case the vendor was experiencing an outage without impacting the restaurant’s internet bandwidth. We set up a second route for the vendor using another cloud provider and increased monitoring to proactively identify when there was an outage to failover. We implemented fulfillment routing automation, which monitors all available routes for every single restaurant and decides which would be best on a per-location basis.

Value Delivered

This has been rolled out chain-wide and has significantly increased uptime, allowing for more digital sales to be processed.
